Cynthia and I photographed a very beautiful wedding at Hunter Valley Farm this past weekend in Knoxville. Like so many couples in that past few years. Vanessa and Michael decided to see each other privately for the first time on their wedding day before the ceremony. The wedding ceremony took place at the new outdoor estate gardens that had just been completed the day before. They will all cherish the fact that they were the first couple to be married in that location.
This evening we were at Hunter Valley Farm estate in Knoxville with Vanessa & Mike to go over their finial wedding details. Joining us on a private tour to view the estates beautiful new ceremony location addition to the grounds was owner Becky Thornton.
This past week Cynthia & I were invited out to Hunter Valley Farm – The Pavilion Open House in West Knoxville. The estate pavilion is beautifully landscaped and overlooks the lake. The estate grounds over several wedding ceremony locations and includes a sand beach and boat dock. Several of the best local Knoxville caters set up during the Open House event and provided guests with several samples of their signature dishes. Below you will find several detail images we took of the event.

The last two days photographing Rozina and Fayyaz’s wedding ceremony’s have been incredible, but nothing compares to the wedding day. The wedding day celebration consist of several tradional indian ceremonal events that go on throughout the day and last way into the night [Part 1 of 2 ]. Enjoy the preview!
The second day of wedding celebration for Rozina and Fayyaz starts out with the grand entrence of the bride for her Manjha ceremony. Rozina’s beautiful procession into the building was amazing to witness and photograph. The bride was blessed by showers of rose petals and gifts from family & friends. The second half of the evening was the Pithia ceremony, which was started off by the grand procession of Fayyaz (groom) entering the building. Each ceremony ended with the breaking of a “sapatia” (small clay pot containing lentils, silver, sugar, and turmeric) to symbolize bounty of nature, material wealth, sweetness & harmony, and good health.
We had just completed day two of a 4-day Indian Wedding Celebration in Miramar when the bride introduced us to her best friends, Rozina & Fayyaz, who just so happens were looking for a wedding photographer for their wedding. What better way to audition for a future client than a live wedding over the next three days. Throughout those few days we couldn’t help but notice how in love these two were and how lucky we would be to have an amazing couple to work with. The rest of this story is history. As we just photographed Rozina’s amazing Mehndi (Henna Party) and we are so looking forward to the next three days!
Destination weddings are becoming more of a common trend than in years past. Offering the bride and groom endless amounts of options that they may not normally have back home. Shooting a day-after photography session is one of our favorite destination wedding options for the newly married couple! This past July we photographed Alana & Evin’s beautiful destination wedding overlooking the Atlantic ocean in Searsport, Maine & we followed it with a day-after session the next day! As Southeastern Maine has one of the most beautiful New England coastlines to photograph with several historic locations throughout the region. We knew Alana & Evin were going to have an amazing day.
The first stop for our amazing day was the historic Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. It doesn’t take long to understand why this is the most photographed lighthouse on the east coast. We were just able to get a short shoot in before the heavy crowds took over for the day.
What an amazing day we had photographing Arsalan and Zarha at the beautiful Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isle, Florida. We couldn’t have had a better couple to end our amazing year in South Florida. Enjoy the preview and your gallery will be live shortly!

The great thing about photographing in South Miami is you can dance around the rain and still get an amazing session in. So we headed up to Miami Beach Botanical Gardens with Rozina and Fayyaz for a perfect sunny photo shoot. We finished out the amazing evening on South Beach at South Pointe. These two were so much fun to work with and we’re looking forward to their wedding next month in South Florida.
