Destination weddings are becoming more of a common trend than in years past. Offering the bride and groom endless amounts of options that they may not normally have back home. Shooting a day-after photography session is one of our favorite destination wedding options for the newly married couple! This past July we photographed Alana & Evin’s beautiful destination wedding overlooking the Atlantic ocean in Searsport, Maine & we followed it with a day-after session the next day! As Southeastern Maine has one of the most beautiful New England coastlines to photograph with several historic locations throughout the region. We knew Alana & Evin were going to have an amazing day.
The first stop for our amazing day was the historic Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. It doesn’t take long to understand why this is the most photographed lighthouse on the east coast. We were just able to get a short shoot in before the heavy crowds took over for the day.

Belfast – Maine
We spent the evening enjoying the beautiful Penobscot Bay in Belfast, Maine a few weeks ago. This small town is the perfect summer haven for sailboat goers and for any tourist who would love to get away for the weekend on the eastern coast of Maine. For you beer lovers… might need to stop by Three Tides & Marshall Wharf Brewing Company!
Freeport, Maine
Timing is everything when traveling throughout the country and this trip was no different. Freeport, Maine was the place to be in the United States after celebrating Independence day this year. As L. L. Bean was celebrating it’s 100th year anniversary.

This past weekend we photographed the beautiful destination wedding of Alana and Evin overlooking the ocean in Searsport, Maine. We started the wedding day coverage with Alana and family at an old Victorain farm house before setting off to the ceremony location at a private estate on the ocean front. Family and friends traveled from all over to make this special occasion truly an amazing experience for Alana and Evin to cherish for the rest of their lives.
